You may find this very hard to believe, but this tiny little mama had her baby TWO days after these photos were taken. I just love photos in front of this pier. It is such a great backdrop for families and it worked beautifully for this maternity session as well. Since we waited until the last minute for the maternity session, Talisha’s mom was already in town for the birth and jumped in for some photos with her daughter- so sweet! The blanket that we used in these pics belonged to Talisha’s grandmother. We also used it in the newborn session and plan to incorporate it in some way during every session of her Baby Steps program. This little guy was running circles around us during this session, but I just LOVE his spirit and huge smile! I am thinking of the Conklin family as Chris gets ready to deploy for the next six months, leaving his beautiful wife and sweet boy behind.

I loved this smiley little six month old. Besides newborns, this is easily my favorite age to photograph! She was a little hesitant at first, but that gave way to some beautiful smiles before long! I am definitely looking forward to the Family Session with the Pivacs later this spring!

Dad was deployed for 7 months and made it back just a few weeks before this sweet baby boy entered the world. Mom is the sweetest, most giving person I have met recently. She spent the deployment organizing events and fundraisers for military families. To top it all off, they produced the BEST baby I have ever had the joy of photographing. He slept the entire session, smiled often, and posed beautifully. I may have threatened to keep him a few times! The picture of him smiling, all curled up in his dad’s helmet may be my favorite photograph I have ever taken! Enjoy!

This guy gave me a serious run for my money- he refused to sleep (don’t let the photos of him with his eyes closed fool you!) and he did NOT want me to take his picture. Nonetheless, I was able to get some adorable shots of him with his wonderful family.

Oh the sweetness! I loved this little guy and his big sister too! She had me cracking up with her funny faces and her baby brother kinda melted my heart. I am always so glad when a family signs up for the Baby Steps Program. It would be just too sad to not see these cute kids again!

Hmmm, I don’t think I have mentioned how much I love newborns, have I? This is the beginning of a great year with this sweet baby. I am excited to see her grow throughout her Baby Steps Program. I think we are off to a great start!

On a side note, I am finally getting caught up on blogging my past sessions!

This 4 month session started off well, but something made this little guy MAD and he decided he did not want any more pictures! Although we didn’t get many different backgrounds or poses, I think the ones we did get are super cute! I am just lucky that he will be back again in 4 months for the third appointment in his Baby Steps program. I just love him and his family!

This sweetie had me cracking up during her 1st birthday cake smash. She devoured almost the entire cake while I photographed away! She was so engrossed in her cake, I could hardly get her to look at me or smile!! But she was FULL of smiles during the rest of her session- what an ADORABLE little girl!
